At United Scrap Metal, risk management is more than a value added package for all stake holders, it’s a core value. Building upon a foundation of integrity and sustainability, we are proud to be an ISO 14001 and Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS) certified company.

These certifications further emphasize our commitment to responsible environmental operations as well as companywide implementation of our Quality, Health, Environmental, and Safety management system.

RIOS provides a framework for recyclers of scrap materials, including electronic scrap, to improve their QEH&S performance and their operational efficiency. Additionally, ISO 14001 is a standard which certifies the Environmental Management System (EMS). Both standards allow for increased environmental awareness as well as numerous companywide efficiencies which can be passed through to our customers.
